Client care workers support and guide residents of Jan Peek House; they assist in oversight of routines of daily living and foster positive socialization and interaction; and participate in training and staff meetings as required.
As CHHOP operates 24x7, employee schedules may change in accordance with organization need.
We have weekend openings, too.
Qualifications:
Candidates will have at least a high school diploma (or GED).
It is preferred the candidate have good people skills -- just like customer service at big box stores or restaurants.
Understand team work and positive human relationship building.
Be committed to working with adults experiencing homelessness in an environment that respects the human dignity of all.
Principal Activities:
Develops good relationships with residents and contributes to the development of a positive atmosphere, Assists co-workers in carrying out daily routines including monitoring daily chores, food service, laundering service, leisure activities, etc.
Conducts random searches and random drug and alcohol screening of clients, Listens to concerns of residents and informs case manager of any issues, Communicates issues and problems to supervisor, in narratives and other records; provides other reports on shelter as needed.
