Medical Technologist - Technical Customer Service Representative
We are seeking an experience Medical Technologist to join a growing diagnostic manufacturer as a Technical Customer Service Representative. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, outgoing, Lab Technician or Technologist who enjoys taking initiative and working independently to move into a dynamic new role out of the laboratory and work directly with customers and Sales Representatives. The Clinical Technical Service Representative will provide customers technical support by telephone and in the field as well as on-site installation and training on medical diagnostic equipment, reagents and testing kits. They additionally will be responsible for technical support and training for new hires (including Sales Reps) and in-house laboratory testing in support of quality programs. The Technical Customer Service Representative will represent the company as a technical resource at trade shows and industry events.
Perform customer cold calls and maintain proper documentation
Travel up to 25% to 50% of time to customer sites to perform analyzer installation and analyzer and product training, as defined in all relevant SOP's.
Support department work schedule Monday - Friday rotating 8-5 or 9-6 (as needed) and support of "on-call" Technical Phone Support (1 week every 4-8 weeks).
Initiate, maintain and complete complaint tickets. Perform customer site assessments, necessary complaint and installation follow-up activities and maintain proper documentation.
Assist with new hire and sales representative training on products and equipment.
Assist in laboratory activities including, but not limited to, proficiency testing, product qualification studies, troubleshooting studies, customer correlation and various special studies.
Assist in special projects as requested and other related duties as necessary.
Minimum of Associates Degree in Medical Technology plus working experience in a clinical laboratory or other clinically related field.
Excellent working knowledge of clinical systems including hardware, software, and reagents
Positive, outgoing personality and joy assisting others
Excellent communication skills - enjoy managing inbound and outbound telephone calls from customers and sales representatives. Able to pleasantly provide technical assistance with laboratory operations and product related inquiries/issues following departmental SOP's.
Must be able to assist with lifting and transporting equipment of up to 100 pounds.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to be a team player.
Have excellent time management and organizational skills.
Must be flexible to multitask, be organized and perform different tasks at the same time.
Have good voice, diction and customer handling skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Internet Explorer.
Prior supervisory experience a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
