Entry Level Field Training Scientist

We are seeking bright, outgoing life science graduate or ambitious medical care associate for a dynamic Field Training and Technical Customer Service Representative role with a growing diagnostic instrument manufacturer. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, outgoing individual with a passion for the medical/diagnostic field. The Field Training and Technical Customer Service Representative will be responsible for customer field installations and training of clinical lab staff at local, regional, national and international accounts. The typical work schedule will include up to 50% of travel for field installation/training, 30% customer support and telephone troubleshooting, 20+% administrative and laboratory projects. After completing an intensive 2-week on-site training program the incumbent will continue training in observational on-the-job sessions and self-directed SOP review.

Excellent communication skills - enjoy managing inbound and outbound telephone calls from customers and sales representatives.
Able to pleasantly provide technical assistance with laboratory operations and product related inquiries/issues following departmental SOP's.
Establish expectation for client follow up and meet established timelines.
Professional representation of company at customer locations, trade shows or industry events.
Travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites to perform analyzer installation and analyzer and product training, as defined in all relevant SOP's.
Work with team and department administrator to cover department work schedule Monday - Friday rotating 8-5 or 9-6 (as needed) and support of "on-call" Technical Phone Support.
Initiate, maintain and complete complaint tickets. Perform customer site assessments, necessary complaint, and installation follow-up activities and maintain proper documentation.
Assist with new hire and sales representative training on products and equipment.
Assist in laboratory activities including, but not limited to, proficiency testing, product qualification studies, troubleshooting studies, customer correlation and various special studies.
Assist in special projects as requested and other related duties as necessary.
BA/BS inBiology, Microbiology or Medical Technology or equivalent industry knowledge.
Must be able to assist with lifting and transporting equipment of up to 100 pounds.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to be a team player.
Terrific time management and organizational skills.
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and manage multiple work assignments.
Have a good voice, diction and customer service skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment with a common goal.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Internet Explorer.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
